Papaya Tree Hostel was founded in 2025 by two friends. A Sri Lankan and a German. Together we aim to provide a safe space for all travellers who visit our lovely Weligama.
Papaya stands for maturity and fun. Meeting people while sleeping well. We have events on almost every day but we don't have any parties on the premisses. So whoever wants to join us in going to yoga, ice bath or partying together can feel free and whoever wants to chill can do so at the hostel.

The Papaya Tree Hostel
This hostel aims to welcome guests who appreciate a well designed accommodation, where you can meet fellow travellers and have a good nights sleep. Papaya Tree Hostel is social, yet quiet. We love taking our guests to family dinners, going surfing together or going out dancing together. On the property we make sure that everyone who doesn't join the party can enjoy peaceful nights in our quiet dorms.
